Kelsey & Daniel // Fort Wayne, IN

Kelsey is family and I have had a somewhat close relationship with her since she was born. I used to baby sit her when I was in high school, which may be revealing my age a bit but I volunteered to do shoot their wedding knowing what they wanted from a photographer. Memories and photographs have always seems to play a big roll in their family so I wanted to create something beautiful for everyone involved. Daniel seems to be a good fit for Kelsey and I really wish them much happiness in their days to come.

The ceremony location was a church that the family has been familiar with for years. The sanctuary has an awesome array of lights, so from a photographer stand point was much appreciated but also I couldn't help but not try to utilize the wooden ceiling. The reception location was at Southwest Conservation Club Fort Wayne which provided awesome and woodsy outdoor flare. Once I looked over the grounds my head was full of ideas, plus the weather was amazing. It was a bit on the hot side but I was in no way complaining. They brough a lot of their own ideas to the table too, like super hero t-shirts and recreating the 'Bridgesmaids' movie cover. All in all it was a fun wedding to shoot and I'm glad I could give them what they were looking for and make people smile. Too many reasons why I love what I do. Thank you for reading and enjoy.

Dereka & Marve' // Lafayette, IN

What's to not say about this couple? Dereka and Marve' were set on the date 12/12/12 for their wedding. The more I thought about it, this date will be the last repeating date of my lifetime, theirs and yours which really puts more emphasis on the date being pretty incredible. I worked with Dereka & Marve' in October for their engagement session, in which was a great time within itself. Dereka & Marve'// Lafayette, IN Engagement Session

The day of their wedding was a clear day, however both families are from the South, so it was really pretty brisk for them. Indiana winters have become mild in the last few years but either way they pushed through. The venue was the Lafayette-City Centre Holiday Inn, which had a very large elaborate staircase that I was pretty excited about, awesome chandeliers and a pretty relaxed atmosphere for hosting such events. Finding subtle accents and said things to incorporate into some shots were pretty easy here.

This wedding was a lot of fun, and working with fun people who seem to love to laugh makes it all the better. I wish these two and their families the best of luck in the future. Thank you and enjoy.

Emma & Chris // Battle Ground, IN

Emma and Chris are a newly engaged couple who are making their way through college both as Photography majors; however, Chris goes to Purdue University and Emma is attending the Memphis College of Art in Tennessee. Chris and I had our client meeting with Emma via Skype, which was pretty awesome for me to have her input on the shoot.

Chris initially contacted me based on my work and the ways I shoot, which was something I for sure appreciated. We booked the session for the day after Christmas however Mother Nature had a different plan. We were under a "Winter Weather Advisory" and the snow / wind were horrible, so we re-scheduled for the following day with no snow in the forecast.

We met in Battle Ground with plans to make our way to Lafayette. I was stoked to finally be able to do a snow engagement session. They mentioned that they've never really been on the opposite side of the camera before, but they did great. They were most definitely a fun couple, and I wish them both the best of luck in the future.
